Crystal Clear Images Inc. has been a member of the Claremont Chamber for 6 years as well as a part of the surrounding community for over 15 years. Writing this has given me the opportunity to reflect on all of the great people we have had the opportunity to meet and provide our services to as a result of being part of a chamber that cares about its members. The Claremont Symphony Association has been an active performance organization in Claremont for 59 years, and has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce for the past 22 years.  The adult symphony, the CSO, provides seven free concerts a year and is an opportunity for local musicians to rehearse and perform. The youth symphony, the CYSO, is the educational arm of the association, augmenting public music education. The Chamber of Commerce has been a partner in promoting music and is one of the keys to our success by providing invaluable opportunities for sponsorship and business partnership. The Chamber has played a key role in making the Claremont Symphony the community treasure that it is.

Located in the heart of the Claremont village since 1947 and a chamber member since 1949, Curtis Real Estate is Claremont's longest established real estate firm. As an independent, third-generation family-owned and operated firm we have sold homes to generations of local families as well as new residents.  The Claremont Chamber has been instrumental in referring clients to us and does a great job promoting the Claremont Village, small businesses, creating networking opportunities for its members and keeping us informed about important issues.  Thank you for all that you do for Claremont!

Working at Foothill Family Shelter for the past 7 ½ years has opened my eyes to so many things. It has been an incredible opportunity and I have learned so much both personally and professionally. Over the years, Foothill Family Shelter has established numerous relationships with businesses and individuals within Claremont and we are proud to be a part of such an active Chamber. We are forever grateful for all of the support we have received and we look forward to building new relationships that will benefit the at-risk homeless families throughout our communities.

As Claremont’s Bakery since 1916, and as Some Crust since 1978, we’ve had a lot of time to get to know Claremont and all of our wonderful neighbors and customers. Part of being a successful business in our community should also include being a member of the Chamber Of Commerce. We’ve been a member since 1982, and we highly recommend it. The Chamber is a great resource in reaching out to other businesses and the general public in our town, and we’re always glad to pitch in and help them in whatever way we can. (We’re also happy to supply the English ladies at the Chamber with “proper” scones, but that’s another story for another time…) We are proud and humbled to be a Claremont institution, and we thank all of our friends and customers for their patronage over the years! At age 20 I obtained my real estate license and entered the business world nearly 25 years ago while still attending Cal-Poly Pomona earning my degree in Finance, Real Estate, & Law. My Mother Ruth who also happened to be a real estate broker encouraged me to join professional networks if anyone was going to take me seriously in representing them with the sale or purchase of a home.  Joining The Claremont Chamber was and has been one of my best affiliations as it's so easy to relate to all the wonderful people that I have grown up with over the last 30 years in Claremont. I especially applaud the inception of the Claremont Young Professionals (CYP) group as I see that as vital to the success of all local business owners and their employees.

Since joining the Chamber I have had the opportunity to meet people in the community I otherwise would not have met. Because my clientele is mostly women, the ladies luncheons have been particularly helpful by providing the opportunity to establish professional partnerships with women in business. I have enjoyed the benefits of both the partnerships themselves as well as the new clientele they have provided. The Village Venture alone provided me with as many new clients as all other forms of advertising combined, with much less money out of pocket. Thanks Claremont Chamber, it’s working.

Since joining, I have found that being part of the Chamber is all about opportunity. I moved my State Farm Agency to Claremont in 1984 and immediately joined the Chamber to get to know the business community and as a thank you for the privilege of being able to serve the public.  Our Chamber has grown and matured tremendously over the past 27 years, from our fledgling program called Best BET in 1989, to a Marketing Committee spear heading a vibrant business community, to the formation of a Government Relations Committee respected throughout the Inland Empire, to the formation of Claremont Young Professionals, and all the networking and business education opportunities they present.  Stability, professional staff, well respected locally and regionally, supportive of small business issues, involved Board and committees…all reasons a business can’t afford NOT to be a member of such a great organization.  Wishing you continued success!

Active Chamber membership will produce positive results for your business and for the business community. Over time, members will meet you and learn what you do, and, when they need your services or product, most likely they will turn to you rather than to just a name on a list. I will always remember the feeling of opening a new business in a city where I knew absolutely no one. The only information I had, had been gathered in one month of market research. Grand opening day, June 2004, a Claremont resident and business owner expressed the importance of getting involved in the community, especially in Claremont. Immediately I joined the Claremont Chamber. I have not been involved with another organization that has been as helpful and supportive as the Chamber. I'm proud to be a member and I thank them for being the catalyst to many productive business relationships, and my introduction to a new circle of friends.
