Chamber Member Testimonials

When I opened Wisteria Grove over 10 years ago the first check I cut was to the Claremont Chamber of Commerce. Never have I regretted that decision. The staff is responsive, warm and friendly.. as are the members. In the beginning, it was hard to leave my fledgling business to make a breakfast meeting but, I always got business out of it. Always. Each year when that renewal shows up I smile. What a great investment I made.

Claremont Sunrise Rotary is a service organization with heart, personality and a membership that can't be compared to any other! I have been a Rotarian for 11 years when three years ago I began to attend the many Claremont Chamber events that benefit both local businesses and non-profit organizations. The Claremont Chamber Networking Breakfasts are the best! Where else can you network with about 100 people each month for only $20? As Claremont Sunrise Rotary is one of the many wonderful non-profit organizations in Claremont, we are always looking to partner with others to better our cause while supporting the community. The Claremont Chamber is a proven partner to Claremont Sunrise Rotary. I appreciate the hard work of the Chamber Staff and the Chamber's Board of Directors who continue to dedicate their efforts to bringing the Chamber and its Members continued growth and success.

We would like to thank the Claremont Chamber for not only meeting but exceeding our expectations. We have belonged to numerous chambers in the area and currently only belong to one, the Claremont Chamber. Their steadfast commitment to serving the business interest of their membership is seen not only in its efforts to create networking opportunities but carries this commitment to developing relationships beyond the scheduled events.

I’ve been in the restaurant industry a long time, ranging from small operating restaurants to large companies and from a server to a GM position and I have been involved with a vast range of Chambers throughout the years (to name a few Long Beach, Sherman Oaks, Manhattan Beach and Newport Beach.) Now as an owner, when I decided to expand my business to Claremont and had the chance to meet the Chamber, I never hesitated to be part of the ”Family.” I have felt part of the family from day one and that’s because the Claremont Chamber has one thing that others don’t and that’s a personal touch. I have also had a lot of support from the Chamber and know that they have helped my business flourish in these past 7 years. I look forward to many more years of success hand in hand with the Claremont Chamber.

The first major thing I did after taking over my father’s business was to join the Claremont Chamber of Commerce. He was always very proud of his membership and this organization. Maureen was extremely encouraging, helping me navigate through my first Networking Breakfast where it seemed like I would never fit in or make friends. But it happened! I met fantastic people and even expanded my client base. I first look to building a relationship with someone and then when that occurs and trust is built, perhaps business opportunities will follow. All those things are mine now, great friends and a thriving business I would not have had if not for my membership and one other vital ingredient: VOLUNTEERING! You have to invest to expect dividends.

I’m proud to say, I’m a Claremont Chamber member. As a Registered nurse, I started a small assisted living home, Leisure Living of Claremont, and have now been licensed for three years. One of the first business decisions was to join the Claremont Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber has been very beneficial, from the monthly networking breakfasts and ladies luncheons to the educational series offered. The Chamber ladies do a wonderful job keeping members updated with upcoming events. I can count on reading and learning from each monthly issue of the Business News. I look forward to continuing the relationships I have formed, and the continued growth of my business utilizing the Claremont Chamber of Commerce.

VomFASS ClaremontKim Peeples, VomFASS Claremont

When I first decided to open my VOM FASS business in Claremont, I never questioned whether I should become a chamber member or not. After my first year of being in business and the time came to renew my membership, I took time to evaluate the value of being a member of the Chamber. As I reflected on my time as a Chamber member, I realized that most of the people that are around me (both in and out of my shop) are Chamber members. I have a new plumber, a new car mechanic and many other options if I choose to sell my home or need financial advice. Most importantly the Chamber has given me opportunities to introduce my business to many people that would have never known about us. Village Venture, Beer Walk and Wine Walk have all been a huge success for us. I will sign up again when this year’s renewal comes around and I will continue to support my new community in any way I can. You get what you give, I always say!

Since 2001, the Assistance League® of Pomona Valley has been an active member of the Claremont Chamber of Commerce. Ever since my term as president of ALPV, I have been active by serving on the Membership and Ambassador Committees for over 15 years. As an organization that certainly has the pulse and climate of the business community, the Chamber has been our partner in spreading our mission. In April, we were proud to sponsor the Chamber Networking Breakfast, because of opportunities like this, there are now more individuals and organizations who know and appreciate our organization. Our Chamber relationship has established mutual beneficial connections with people from several other charitable and for-profit organizations. ALPV appreciates the opportunities the Claremont Chamber provides; we give them an A+!
