 The Claremont Chamber of Commerce is excited to present the 35th Annual Village Venture Arts and Crafts Faire located in the Claremont Village on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Claremont Village is located in downtown Claremont off of Indian Hill Blvd. between First St. and Fourth St. 


Get your holiday shopping done early as you walk the streets of the Claremont Village lined with 450 booths selling unique art, original crafts and apparel. Get to know all the local businesses and nonprofits in the business and organization block located on First Street. Be sure to also stop by the food court for an array of international foods and entertainment.

No need to worry about parking. A complementary off-site shuttle service will be provided by Pomona Valley Transit Authority. Shuttle locations: Claremont University Facilities on First St. and Mills Ave., Cahuilla Park parking lot on Scripps Ave. and Indian Hill Blvd., and St. Ambrose Episcopal Church on Bonita Ave. and Mountain Ave. Don’t miss out on this fun-filled family event!

Other festivities will include a children’s pre-carved pumpkin competition sponsored by Claremont Sunrise Rotary. Pre-carved pumpkins should be dropped off between 8:30 a.m.- 9:30 a.m. at the Sunrise Rotary Booth located at the corner of Bonita Ave. and Harvard Ave. Judging will take place at 2 p.m. A traditional children’s Halloween costume parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. All participants must assemble at the corner of Harvard Ave. and Bonita Ave. by 9:15 a.m. (No motorized vehicles will be allowed in the parade.) All participants will receive a goodie bag at the end of the parade.

Parade begins at 9:30 a.m. Assemble at the corner of Harvard and Bonita Ave. at 9:15 a.m.
Parade will be led by the El Roble Marching Band.

 


Pre-Carved Pumpkin Contest

Sponsored by: Claremont Sunrise Rotary

Bring your pre-carved pumpkins to the Claremont Sunrise Rotary Booth located at the corner of Harvard Ave. and Bonita Ave, between 8:30-9:30am. Judging will take place at 2pm.

Shuttle Service & Parking

Parking is available on streets surrounding the closed streets of Village Venture, however, you can eliminate the parking hassles by taking advantage of the free shuttle service offered by the Pomona Valley Transit Authority (PVTA).

 

Shuttle service is available from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking for the shuttle pick up will be located at:

Claremont University Facilities on First and Mills

Taylor Hall at Cahuilla Park on Scripps and Indian Hill

St. Ambrose Episcopal Church on Bonita and Mountain

 

 

 

The Village drop off point will be the Metrolink Parking lot. Buses run every 10 -15 minutes from all three parking points.

Handicapped Parking:

Located in the Library parking lot. Enter at College Ave. and Bonita Ave. (space is limited)
Bank of America parking lot. Enter from Indian Hill Blvd.


 

Save time, ride the Metrolink

With an estimated 15,000 in attendance parking can be a task. You can make your trip easier and stress free by taking the Metrolink. Claremont's Metrolink station is located right in the heart of the Faire!

Village Venture Amtrak Alternate Bus Route Information

On Saturday, October 22, 2016, due to street closures associated with the Claremont Village Arts and Crafts Show, the Amtrak Thruway bus stop will move from its normal location at the Metrolink station, 200 West First St., to the bus stop at the corner of West Bonita Ave. and North Indian Hills Blvd. This is four blocks west, and two blocks north, of the regular stop.

Buses that will move to the alternate stop on October 22:

To Bakersfield - 5413, 5415, 5417, 5403.
From Bakersfield - 5402, 5412, 5414.
Bus 5416 will make the normal stop at the Metrolink station as the Arts and Crafts Show will have cleared by then.
