Village Venture
has become THE annual event where family, friends & neighbors meet to wander The Claremont Village, which is filled with over 500 arts & crafts booths including photography, pottery, jewelry, clothing, and garden knick – knacks. Don’t forget to stop by the village businesses on both sides of Indian Hill that will be open all day. This is the place to kick off your one stop holiday shopping, you’ll find something unique for everyone on your list! Sit and relax at one of our sidewalk cafes, or enjoy the international cuisine located on First Street. Well over 20, 000 visitors attended Village Venture 2011 to enjoy not only this one-day event, but also the wonderful shops and restaurants that are located in our city.
The following streets are closed:
Bonita, Second and First between Indian Hill and College
Yale and Harvard from Fourth ( Fourth is not closed)
This is the place to be every year on the fourth Saturday in October - mark your calendar - Saturday October 27th, 2012.

On May 1st, 2013, applications will be e-mailed to 2012 Vendors and the application will be available on line.
Shuttle Service & Parking
Parking is available on streets surrounding the closed streets of Village Venture, however, you can eliminate the parking hassles by taking advantage of the free shuttle service offered by the Pomona Valley Transit Authority (PVTA). Shuttle service is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking for the shuttle pick up will be located at:
• Claremont University Facilities on First and Mills
• Claremont Youth Activity Center on Scripps and Indian Hill
• St. Ambrose Episcopal Church on Bonita and Mountain
The Village drop off point will be the Metrolink Parking lot. Buses run every 10 -15 minutes from all three parking points.

The Claremont Shades are the first co-ed a cappella group at The Claremont Colleges dating back to 1995. We have been featured on two Best of College A Cappella (BOCA '00, '05) CDs. Shades has toured all over the country, from San Francisco to Boston. We have released four professional albums and our fifth, All Things Go, is available for sale this fall. Each year The Claremont Shades hosts SCAMFest (Southern California A cappella Music Festival) where a cappella groups from all over the country and the 5C's are invited to show off their mind-blowing vocal talents.
